Holiday Pick-Up Schedule

There will be no collection on the following legal holidays: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day & Thanksgiving Day. If your collection falls on a holiday, the collection will be made on the following working day, and collections throughout the County will become current within one (1) week thereafter. Collection will not be rescheduled when the holiday falls on a Sunday.

Christmas Trees

Haulers will collect all Christmas trees on the first two (2) regularly scheduled collection days after Christmas Day, free of any additional charge to residents.

Bulky Waste Pick-Up

Residents may request a bulky-item pick-up from haulers free of charge the first two (2) times per calendar year, so long as the number of items collected and removed each time does not exceed four (4).  Multi-unit dwellings are entitled to the same services.

Household Hazardous Waste & E-Waste

Orange County residents can dispose of their household hazardous waste items, including electronic waste, for FREE at any of the County's four (4) Household Hazardous Waste Collection centers. More information is available here.

Manure

The hauler will collect all properly discarded horse manure. The terms of manure collection services will be negotiated with the Customer and any additional billing for those services will be paid by the Customer.

Senior Citizen Discount

Residents 65 years of age or older are eligible to reduce monthly collection fees by 10 percent. The following criteria must be met in order for residents to receive the discount: (1) must be 65 years of age or older, (2) must provide proof of being the head of household, and (3) must agree to reduce cart size to 35-gallon capacity. Only once per year the hauler may request verification of Senior Citizen Discount eligibility. For more information, call your hauler.

Low Income Discount

Low-income residents are eligible to reduce monthly collection fees by 10 percent. The following criteria must be met in order for the resident to receive the discount: (1) must provide proof of low income by being enrolled in "California Lifeline" telephone program, or CARE/FERA program, or by submitting a copy of a utility bill showing Low-Income Discount, (2) name on utility bill or other low-income program must be head of household. The Low-Income Discount only applies to single-family dwellings using the standard three (3) cart disposal system. Only once per year the hauler may request verification of Low- Income Discount eligibility. For more information, call your hauler.
