Bowerman Landfill The area to the left shows a new fill area under construction with a liner to prevent the entry of liquids from the trash into the groundwater. The area to the right shows a slope covering several hundred feet of buried trash with an active trash fill area on top. This shows a close up view of the daily unloading area. When this area is full, daily operations will move to a new fill area in another part of the landfill.
