Mark Tettemer Named to Orange County Waste Management Commission
SANTA ANA, Calif. — On Tuesday, September 22, 2015 the Orange County Board of Supervisors appointed Mark Tettemer to the Orange County Waste Management Commission. Mr. Tettemer, a long-time Orange County resident, was nominated to serve on the Commission by Fifth District Supervisor and Board Vice Chairman, Lisa Bartlett. The Waste Management Commission is an advisory commission to the Board of Supervisors on matters related to solid waste management, including waste diversion and recycling.
“We are very glad to have Mark Tettemer join the Commission and bring us his knowledge and public service experience,” said Supervisor Bartlett. “He will be a valuable asset to the Commission.”
In addition to his public service as a Council Member and Mayor in the City of Lake Forest, Tettemer has professional experience in water resources that will serve the Commission well.
The Orange County Waste Management Commission falls under the purview of OC Waste & Recycling. The department operates three public landfills, four Household Hazardous Waste Collection Centers, and promotes recycling through the Discovery Cube’s Eco Challenge exhibit and related education and outreach programs.
