OC Eco Challenge Poster Contest Winners Announced

Five Orange County Youth Depict the County's Future


The five winning posters were selected from a total of 200 posters submitted by contestants throughout Orange County. Judges selected the winning posters based on originality, visual clarity, relevance to theme, artwork, and effectiveness of message.

Artists were between the ages of eight and fourteen. One winner was selected from each of the County’s five supervisorial districts. 2014 Eco Challenge Poster Contest Winners are:

Benjamin Muñiz, Santa Ana--First District

Merrin Joseph, Buena Park--Second District

Natalie Chang, Irvine--Third District

Danilo Macias, Anaheim--Fourth District

Charlie Adams, Ladera Ranch--Fifth District

“We were pleased to see so many Eco Challenge posters submitted in this year’s contest. We saw so much talent and excitement for the future in their work. I know they will enjoy their experience as Bat Kids,” said Board of Supervisors Chairman, Shawn Nelson.

The poster contest is sponsored by the County of Orange, Discovery Science Center and Angels Baseball.
