Open: Monday through Saturday - Operating hours vary by landfill. Click on each landfill for specific operating hours. Closed: Major Holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas   Landfills • Frank R. Bowerman Landfill in Irvine (commercial landfill only; no public dumping) • Olinda Alpha Landfill in Brea (commercial & public dumping) • Prima Deshecha Landfill in San Juan Capistrano (commercial & public dumping) • Santiago Canyon Landfill in Orange (landfill closed and not accepting waste)   Are you open when it's raining? Landfills do not close due to rain. The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Centers are closed when it is raining due to safety precautions.   What landfill do I go to if I am not from Orange County? For information on landfills outside of Orange County call the IWMD office at (714) 834-4000.
