Treated Wood Waste (TWW) is wood that has been treated with chemical preservatives to protect it from insects and decay while in use. Examples of TWW include fence posts, sill plates, landscape timbers, pilings, guardrails, and railroad ties.
The Prima Deshecha Landfill in San Juan Capistrano accepts treated wood waste for public and commercial disposal. The Frank R. Bowerman Landfill accepts treated wood waste for commercial disposal only. Here are the steps to take to prepare for disposal:
Step #2 — Bring the completed Manifest Form with you when you bring the treated wood waste to the Prima Deshecha or Frank R. Bowerman Landfill. Show the completed manifest to the Fee Station Attendant.
